Exploring Options
The College of Liberal Arts offers the most majors of all the colleges on the U of M-Twin Cities campus: more than 60! Plus, if one of those doesn’t fit the bill, you can design your own. So, would you like to know what the most common major is?
Undecided.
When you are in your first or even second year of college, that’s a perfectly fine place to be. Your first two years are often about exploring: trying new subjects, getting involved in campus life and getting to know yourself. In short, finding what drives you to discover.
Even students who come to college with a plan may find a class that steers them into a completely different direction. CLA and the University of Minnesota have many services and resources for helping you explore and draw your own map.
CLA Career Services
The Career and Community Learning Center (CCLC) is the career services office for CLA students. They have workshops, interest inventories, books, courses and online resources to help you learn more about yourself and the majors and careers that may be a good match for you.
