CLA is home to over 14,000 undergraduate students. Here is a snapshot of the Class of 2010.*

Award-winning scholars

In the past 5 years, CLA students have won 3 Rhodes scholarships, 6 Truman scholarships, 3 Mellon fellowships, 2 Fulbright scholarships. In addition, 3 students have been featured among Glamour magazine’s top 10 college women.

David Ansari, psychology & French studies major, chemistry minor
Through his volunteering, work and research, Ansari is learning while helping others

Anette Righi, journalism major with emphasis in public relations
Anette was able to connect her academic life with her professional future through her internship at the University's Parking and Transportation Services.

Cynthia Piette, B.I.S.: communication studies, political science, and management
Cynthia chose a bachelor of individualized studies (B.I.S.) to create a versatile degree for a business career. To round out her experience, she joined the CLA Student Board.

Kong Vang, American studies major, Asian American studies and political science minors
Kong seeks to build bridges of understanding between the first and second generations in the Twin Cities Hmong community.
